At VeloCity Mobility, we provide transparent pricing for our entertainment industry transportation services. While each production has unique needs that may affect final rates, the following guide offers a general overview of our standard pricing structure.
 

Booking Terms
 
  • Minimum Hours: 5-hour minimum booking for all vehicles

  • Standard Day: 10 hours (includes driver meal break)

  • Overtime: 1.5x hourly rate after 10 hours

  • Weekly Discount: 10% discount for 5+ consecutive days

  • Driver Meal: Required per industry standard

Basecamp-to-Set Shuttles

Lock-Up to Set Service

Dedicated shuttles connecting secure crew parking areas to active filming locations, solving urban parking limitations, and reducing neighborhood impact. This service is particularly valuable for locations with restricted parking or when filming in residential areas with limited street parking.

BG Movement

Coordinated transportation of background performers from holding areas to set, ensuring that transportation issues never delay background action. Our BG movement service can accommodate large groups efficiently while maintaining production schedules.

Tech Scout Transportation

Comfortable, professional vehicles for location teams during pre-production visits. We provide transportation for directors, DPs, production designers, and other department heads to evaluate potential filming locations, with drivers familiar with the geography of potential shooting areas.

First Team Transport

Premium vehicles dedicated to principal cast members, with emphasis on comfort, privacy, and punctuality. Our First Team transportation ensures talent arrives on set refreshed and on time, with professional drivers who understand the unique requirements of transporting performers.

Splinter Unit Coverage

Dedicated transportation resources for secondary units, ensuring simultaneous filming operations have appropriate vehicle support. Our splinter unit coverage allows productions to efficiently capture additional footage without compromising the main unit's transportation needs.

15-Passenger Crew Vans

Transportation for department teams, providing efficient movement of lighting, grip, sound, wardrobe, and other production departments. These vehicles offer ample space for both personnel and essential small equipment, with configurations optimized for production environments.

Production Office Runs

Coordinated transportation of background performers from holding areas to set, ensuring that transportation issues never delay background action. Our BG movement service can accommodate large groups efficiently while maintaining production schedules.

Booking & Logistics
 

Q: How far in advance should I book transportation services?
A: For full production support, we recommend booking 1-2 weeks in advance. For last-minute needs or additional vehicles, we can often accommodate requests with 24-48 hours' notice, subject to availability.

 

Q: What areas do you service?
A: We provide transportation services throughout Los Angeles County and surrounding areas, including the 30-Mile Zone and beyond. Extended travel may incur additional costs.

 

Q: Can I book for partial days?
A: Yes, though our 5-hour minimum applies. For productions with ongoing needs, we can work with you to create a custom schedule that maximizes efficiency.

 

Q: Do you offer 24/7 service?
A: Yes, we accommodate early morning call times and late wraps. After-hours service (10pm-5am) may incur a 15% premium.

 

Vehicle & Drivers
 

Q: Are your drivers experienced with production environments?
A: Absolutely. All our drivers understand production protocols, walkie etiquette, and the importance of discretion on set. Many have backgrounds in production.

 

Q: What amenities are included in your vehicles?
A: All vehicles include climate control, charging ports, bottled water, and production-friendly seating configurations. Executive vehicles include additional amenities.

 

Q: Can drivers assist with equipment or luggage?
A: Yes, our drivers can assist with standard personal items and small production equipment. For significant equipment transportation, we recommend our dedicated equipment vehicles.

 

Billing & Payment
 

Q: What payment methods do you accept?
A: We accept all major credit cards, production company checks, and can bill directly to authorized production accounts. Payment terms are typically Net-30 for established production companies.

 

Q: Do you require deposits?
A: For new clients, we typically require a 50% deposit. For established clients and studio productions, this requirement is often waived.

 

Q: How are overtime and additional costs calculated?
A: Overtime is billed in 30-minute increments after the 10-hour day. Additional costs such as parking fees, permits, or tolls are passed through without markup and itemized on invoices.
